With the shipping container finally empty, there is so much to do! The scheduled move-in date is February 1st, 2016. That doesn't leave much time so there is no time to waste.
As seen in the picture, I already purchased my windows on Craigslist and have them in the container awaiting installation. Before we install windows, we'll have to build steel frames to add rigidity and structure to the cutouts for the windows and doors.
My steel was delivered yesterday and I'm enlisting the help of friends to teach me to weld and help in building the steel frames for the windows and doors.
This will be a short post but any progress is worth sharing and I we hit a big milestone last week. We cleaned out the container!
The process was quite grueling, and any time you do major downsizing, it takes a lot of thought, time, and effort to decide what you really need to hold on to and what you want to hold on to. I've never had a problem with this - in most cases I can let go without a problem.
Jonathan did an amazing job of downsizing his storage from a full 40 foot shipping container to an organized 20 foot shipping container. No doubt an impressive feat for anyone that has accrued so much over the years! Fortunately, I haven't lived in one place long enough to accrue much of anything.
